I'm an architect-trained freelance artist. Originally from Scotland via Canada, I'm now based in London.

My drawings tell stories. I create pictures of lives that we want to know more about.

I'm a member of the Association Of Illustrators and the Society of Authors.

I drew this selfportrait with an iPad; my paintings are sketched in pencil and redrawn with a Wacom pen in Photoshop.

I agree with Picasso that making pictures is ‘just another way of keeping a diary’, and with David Hockney that ‘art should be a counsel against despair’.
